shock cap keep poping off

My shock caps keep poping off and getting oil all over the place. I was think just upgrading the shock body and caps to aluminum but i can buy a hole shock setup for the cost of those. Let me know what to get? i am new to the rc world. Here are some of the options i was thinking.

I would go with the CKRC but take some of the oil out and it will help keep the caps from popping off. Also search "shock cap" in the ax10 forum and you will find alot of info

I used teflon tape on the cap threads. I have gone months now with no issues at all that is using 80 wt up front and 35 rear. with losi springs up front and shortened "stock" rear springs. but search you will find tons more info than this

I've been using the stock shocks (plastic) and have not had a problem yet. Bottom line i believe you've got too much oil in the shock. When building, let the air bubles coming to the top, when screwing on the tops before you've bottomed out the top push the piston up allowinfg the excess air and oil to escape. When tight you don't want any rebound(ie. piston pushes back out without the spring) if you have it crack-open the cap again and force a little more oil out. If you can get the shock rebound to be neutral the should not have a problem with them poping off. Good luck."thumbsup"
