Talking My ax 10

I am pretty new to rc crawling, I have been rock crawling with toyota trucks for many years. I saw these kits and I had to buy one. I running stock gears with alum knuckels , I broke 2 plastic ones. For steering a hitec tg servo 330oz, 65 turn motor. Upgrade trans yokes to traxxas, kep on popping axial ones out. Rubicaon imax tires , yes that is how it is spelled on tire. I stripped off the green with oven cleaner. For mods I turned the battery tray sideways and lowered about 1/2 inch. With the battery side ways the body keeps it from coming out. I built custom skip plate to protect the motor diods. The body is a 86 toyota pick up from rockwerks.com. I also built custom bumpers, rock sliders that also protect body mount clips from getting pulled out. The sliders and bumpers are tied together with solid aluminum rod that is bent to form the body lines.

I like the skid plate, I have been wanting to do that exact thing to mine but I haven't figured out what material I want to use. What did you make yours out of?

I just used a thin bendable plastic. I drilled holes in the frame and made 4 L brackets drilled and tapped them -- for the bottom part I used 2 of the transmission mount screw holes and drilled 2 more and put nuts on them
