6 cell flat pack battery mount

Hello, yes I'm a noob when it comes to rc crawling but not Rc's. I got my Ax-10 a few days ago and love it. I made a homemade battery pack plate for the front axle to get more weight up front. Yea I know that I could have just bought the split pack but why spend money on another battery when I have a good battery already. This plate I made has held up great so far. So here are some pics enjoy

I just cut out a piece of plastic from an old tackle box lid and painted it and cut the holes in it, then put a piece of velcro on the servo and the plastic. I then cut some old tmaxx turnbuckles in half and then cut the threads so that they weren't so long. so yea you get the idea

I think the battery is still to HIGH. My 25.99 8 cell axle pack was well spent money.

Not too shabby. I made a similar one for the back, I had other plans for above my servo.

I see you are from York. If it's York pa you should stop by Scale Speed on First Ave in Red Lion to do some indoor crawling.

As already stated, getting the batt weight up front is great, placing that weight directly on the axle/tires is even better.......................but placing that weight lower is even better than that. So to answer, "why spend money on another battery when I have a good battery already?" the answer is to lower the overall center of gravity of the vehicle, which equates to better overall performance of the vehicle.

i had a battery plate on the back and it was horrable. i couldnt climb and the back would not want to go up stuff. i ordered a saddle pack.
