Countersinking C for CKRC Stage II?
 

When CKRC mentions counter sinking the front of the front axle C to put in place a counter sunk 3x8MM screw for more clearance, are they referring to just drilling the hole/slot out w/ the 3/16" drill bit? Or are they actually trying/succeeding at doing a mini-surgical counter sink? I am in the process and looks like it will be damn near impossible w/o going all the way through the slot/hole that is factory.

You just have to put a slight countersink in the hole for the screw to fit flush....don't go all the way thru...you can almost use the drill bit by hand to do it..if your using a bit with too much of a point it may be hard to do tho. If your using power just barely touch it with the bit...i used an actual countersink to do mine and just turned it by hand a few times....Hope this helps

X2, and use an actual COUNTERSINK, NOT a drillbit...the angles are different!!!

My drill bit was not sharp enough to do it by hand, and I didn't feel like running out to get a CS bit.............so, I ended up using an brand-new (ie. sharp) razor blade and cut out the counter sink at an appropriate angle for the CS screw to fit in all nice and flush like"thumbsup" Took a few times to get it just right, but a little trim at a time paid off.
