If you are looking for a LCG(Low Center of Gravity) rig, this is it. I set it next to a couple of other 2.2 crawlers yesterday. It sits really, really low, without sacrificing belly clearance. With the Helios body on the truck, the top of the roof sits lower than most others chassis' do, with out the body on(body roof height is lower than the top of other chassis' at static ride height). This is a combination of the Helios body being very streamlined and the BlackJack chassis design. Great combination and they both work incredibly well! The motor and tranny sit lower than any other chassis I have seen, keeping it glued to the ground....on it's tires! I'm really impressed with this little sleeper! BLM3 |

Great write up. But what do you mean by sleeper? Besides a couple things different than what I would have done I dont see sleeper. I see a bad mamma jamma though. That body is awesome dont know if you leaked release or whatever lol. Looks like a beach blaster or the wharthog from halo. Nice and low and flat fpr c;earance. Hopefully going to pick up my badlands today. Been waiting to put em on a crawler. Been using em everywhere else though. Love the Mx style agressive ass lugs. Oh yeah, do they clean out snow pretty well?

On my blackjack at full steer my tires hit my shocks/links. With those tall badlands at full steer does it hit?

If I were to get any more steering throw, from removing the screws on the axle tubes, then they might just graze the links. The links are also mounted on the outside of the mounting tabs.

Sweet looking rig, I'm sure it runs as good as it looks. Despite the driver.....
