| Quicky K2-3S 1.9 Rock Racer
Ever since I sold my 1.9 Rock Racer I wanted to make another one but I wanted to stay away from a tuber because I'm going to trash it. I decided to use one my favorite chassis, in this case a K2-3S. Now I've lost track of how many K2's I've had K2-3S Narrow Chassis Axial Axles Axial Tranny Wheels are undetermined right now but I like the one's I have on it Duratrax shocks Traxxas links Holmes Hobbies Cobalt 10t Mamba Max from Holmes Hobbies Elite 1500 9 cell pack from Holmes Hobbies Cheap JR servo for now but I'll probably upgrade it I used the spacers from the Axial kit to mount the upper links under the servo plates. It works reall well and keeps the links parallel. I had to mount the upper links on the outside of the chassis to make room for the Cobalt but everything seems to work great. I also drilled a few extra holes for mounting the shocks laying back a bit more. Mmmmm, Cobalt. I wouldn't mind it being a little quicker but that's not to say its not pretty quick right now and the torque is still amazing. I can have it pull a front flip or wheelie on demand Really, if you haven't tried one you need to. I wanted to use a Parma bug body, just to piss a few people off but I love the look and I spent quite a bit of time to make sure that tires lined up right. Paint is Flourescent blue and green. I mounted it as low as I could without trimming. The body hides the servo nicely. Poser shots |

Nice!! I have the cobat 10 also and I feel the same about it. Its not as fast as I thought it would be but the tourque is amazing. Maybe the 7 would have been a better but o well.

If you haven't built a k2-3 chassis yet you need to. Simple and always a favorite to drive. | |

I've had a couple people ask me what wheels and tires they are so I figured I'd post it up. They are old HPI touring car wheels that are basically impossible to find but they look great The tires are narrowed and reduced Axial Rock Lizards. I love the looks of them but the inside of the tires are rubbing a bit on the steering and I'm afraid of trashing the wheels with the torque and speed this thing has so I'm probably going to switch them to MSD 1.9 Beadlocks and RC4WD Rock Stompers and save these for another rig. |

This is a picture of the link mounts. It works really well and you just screw into the servo mounts up front. |

| Thanks Ben. I honestly don't get a ton of time but when I do I have usually get going and stay up late. The OCD kicks in and I have to get them done. After building this many k2's they tend to fly together. My wife works some night too which helps.

| Not Yet. I have another 6" if fresh snow today. It doesn't stop. I found out really quickly though I'm going to need metal drive shaft ends. I stripped one out in 3 minutes in the house. I've got a pretty good spot in the living room with some stairs and stuff and it works great.

I put some different tires and wheels on. I tried to get a picture of it pulling wheelies for 10 minutes and gave up. |

I need to round up some funds so I can get a 5t motor in it I had to turn down the throttle to 50% for my kid to drive it and it was still pretty fast. Damn the snow. I want to drive it outside.
