I was thinking about setting up my steering that way for clearance but haven't seen anyone do it till now. Does it work well any sevro problems??

Nice looking Rig

The only problem with that steering setup is that as you turn, the tires will toe in and your ackerman will suck.

I had the same problem...it's not the shocks themselves--its the binding (shock cap hitting the frame at articulation) causing the pop-off. I had to limit my travel by using plastic tubing inside the shock....so far it looks good.

crawlbe4youwalk 01-07-2008 03:49 PM

what length did you cut the tubing to?

Kamikaze 01-07-2008 05:05 PM

Yeahm its a good idea to limit the travel on the shocks anyway, they have way to much to start with. I think mine are down to about half on my edge and less than that on my comp rig.

I cut mine to 3/4". There almost level.

crawlbe4youwalk 01-07-2008 05:53 PM

So did you take the bump stops off and put them inside or leave them on the shaft?

Rockcrawler 01-07-2008 07:26 PM

I took them off.

Kamikaze 01-07-2008 07:33 PM

You need to run them inside the shock on top of the piston to get the correct ride height on that chassis.

looks really good man i wish i would have waited on my tuber
