Default Rednecks Rampage Ridge Crest Build!

Okay i have had this rig for a month and a bit now ran it stock unshure how i wanted the build to go. With people building up bashers running 4 cells to people building comp crawlers were do you with go with one.

Today i started my first step. I picked up a new pinion, spur gear, servo extension and a wraith stage one link kit. heres the progress so far ( please note well i was doing this did harleys mod and flipped shock towers and battery placement)
Here it is stock-

heres a picture of the parts i started to use.

I got half the link kit on but man axial kits know how to make your fingures sore with all there hard plastic you can also see the difference it made.

Do you not get a spur and pinion in the kit? What motor are you planning on using and are you gearing this up to be a basher?

I did get a spur gear and pinion i am just changing them for more speed and tunning. I will probably end up running a rx8 eventually if i run it as a basher even though that is beyond over kill.

Since i had the day off i finished what i could. i still have to go pick up some new shocks hopefully in the next day or 2. I also took all the plastic skid platting off the stock body as you will see in the last picture.

So today i went to my local hobbie store and picked up a set of gmade piggy back shocks. i threw 2 on but still have to find some time for the other 2. Overal i was impressed with the gmade shocks but into building the second one, i stripped the top shock tower and now have to order a new sprue set. its attatched but still is waiting on the new cap to fill it with shock fluid.

I am sure that you will like those shocks better than the factory squish sticks!

In my opion the stock axial shocks are disposable.I like the gmade but after a long day of work I miss threaded the shock cap building the last one causing a massive leak, thank goodness they sell replacement tops

I love the look of those shocks and can only imagine how much better they work.
