yea i cant wait for my chassis either, cant do much more till i get it.....

yea but i didnt come up with 7"... its about 1/8 short of that
i came up with 174.625mm

this is something I saw on 8-454's sporty, and thought it was a great ideaand had to make one of my own.... Thank you Everett....




took me a bit to get this drawn out, but im happy enough with it to cut one out





and here is what it looks like whittled out...........
servo mount, link mount, battery holder and electronic tray all in one.......



still have to shorten the sides, and bend it down a bit for battery....
not sure about the other side, figure that out when I get more of it put together........
and holes to mount servo..

Man I hope it works out.........

Had to make a second one.... servo needed to be a bit farther away from the axle housing

My chassis showed up in the mail slot today.......yeaaaaa

Its an updated CDW AX chassis and pocketed out skid........I want to thank robbob for doing the changes on the chassis and making the skid and cutting it all out ....... Awesome



also in the mail today was some stuff from RCbros..... Thanx Will
weight hangers and spring cups.. super nice....


spent a few hours mocking it up as soon as I got the chassis..
it a roller....

lower links will get changed to Ti links....
uppers will get re-made for a better fit........

shocks need some lighter oil in them.....
then all the electronics,,,,

Is it just me or does that aluminum plate look real thick, could you do CF to save weight?

its only 1/8 in.........
its just less knuckle weight i would have to use...

A bit of an update...

got my Ti lower links on... had to put a double bend in the rear ones to get my 12.5WB



super smooth transition at the rear links.....shaft stays just above the links
with a nice angle.....




and it sits at about 2 1/2 to 2 5/8 at the front of skid.........
