Spring length??

Alright so here is a question for the group. I'm looking into getting the traxxas big bore shocks for my Deadbolt. Was thinking XXL or XL.. I need more travel and some more ride height. Question I have is if I go with the XL length what length springs will I need and what length for the XXL??? I was thinking 2.75 for the XXL and 2.5 for the XL..

Traxxas XXL big bores are 3/16" shorter than stock shocks from eye to eye. The XXL' s can use axial springs but you get about 1/8" preload right off the bat.

Axial 14x70mm springs fit Traxxas 2662s like a glove with VERY little preload. Just enough to seat the spring. This is my most common shock/spring combo and they are great.

I agree I have them on both my trucks. For the money it doesn't get much better.

Add the long rod ends off parts tree AX80034 on the traxxas 2662 shocks and I think they are 1/16" longer eye to eye than the axial shocks out of the box.
