Default Tip for budget sporty build

I've got an old Rigdecrest, and i want to build a Budget sporty out of it.
Is there a good chassis that dosen't cost an arm and a leg?

This is just an leftover build, and i want to keep the cost Down.

Is it possible to build a usable sporty on a Budget?

Your lookin at couple hundred for chassis & links give or take a lil! So if thats arm & leg may wanna try classifieds on here. Basicly sell everything but axles on your ridgecrest to fund new parts!

I use these for links. 5mm steel with M4 threads. Cut to length or bend and cut M4 threads on the new end.

super strong & cheap.
If the ridge has a wraith skid I would use that and make custom vertical plates out of polycarbonate with a dremel & drill to mount the skid & shocks together.

These axial al posts are pretty cheap & available for cross bracing the vertical plates.
The biggest thing for a sporty conversion of a ridge to me is getting the servo down on the front axle and putting the battery there.

They will bolt on but I can't say what the wheel base would be with them.

The vendor thread has our skid size and recommended link lengths to get you to 12.5" with Ax axles. You could try measuring your links and compare.
