|  Getting steel tranny gears- what else do we need?
My son was running the RTR AX10 Deadbolt this weekend and the smaller plastic tranny gear stripped. We are running a HH Crawlmaster Expert with a 15 tooth pinion, MIP driveshafts rest of the drivetrain is stock. I found the metal gear set at several online stores. However once we upgrade to the metal gears do we need to upgrade anything else? Motor mount? Metal case, etc? (I'd love to get things from one vendor too.) The car is used mainly for trailing and running in the yard. Nothing too serious. Thanks |

Best bang for the buck is HR gears. Rpphobby.com has them in stock. Hot Racing Axial SCX10 AX10 Wraith hard steel center gears set If you have steel outputs I wouldn't worry about replacing anything else at the moment. Metal trans cases are nice but certainly not on a required list at your power and abuse level. |
