Receiver is in and battery charged. Going to test it out tonight and probably change the motor to my 20 turn dynamite I have here. The 13 turn in the ax10 may go in my vaterra v100

Tried it out with the 13 turn. Way too quick for my crawling needs. Need to get a new pinion gear before I can get the 20 turn in.

Hopefully getting a new pinion gear from the friend that sold me the ax10 or my local hobby shop tomorrow. Waiting on a few parts to sell so I can free up some extra cash for a few rc things or might put it towards a ps4 slim if I don't race indoors this winter.

Found a pinion at home I can use. Be good to have a spare too so I'm getting another pinion from my friend that sold me the rc in case I want to swap it out sometime if choose to go with the other one instead.

Took my ax10 to a friends place for a fun run and the motor was a no go. Break in the wiring. Should have it fixed and running soon. Just got this to work on too

Got the wiring fixed and put the new 35 turn in the ax10. Works good first time I took it out with the 35 turn the pinion gear flew off though. Will have to put thread lock on the grub screw for the pinion gear.

With the pinion grub screw, I've found that letting those sit overnight after putting the thread lock on helps a significant amount with the retention. I've lost a few through impatience.

I've put the thread lock on the pinion since then and it has worked fine. Need to get some glue to mount the 2.2 iroks I have here or a set of beadlocks to put them on sometime. Esc is in my slash for the mean time with a 20 turn dynamite motor so it is mobile as I wasn't using the ax10 much and waiting on a program card for the hobby wing brushless system in the slash.

Funny story. I recently re-aquired my ax10 through a trade 3 owners later. I recognized it from the shocks and the green axial aluminum spacers on the transmission. The 2nd owner after I had sold it did a real number on the transmission and the tamiya tlt axles that were on it. The transmission was rebuilt when the 2nd owner got it back and the axles were replaced with a set of hpi wheely king axles. Here are some recent pictures.

I put the 2.2 rc4wd wagon wheels with offset hubs I had from my wraith with rc4wd mud basher tractor tires that are 5.7 inches tall. It has 115mm shocks on it. I have another 2 sets of 115 mm shocks that are nicer that I might swap out soon. I need to make a run to the hobby shop today to get a few things I need and some scale items for my scx10
