I filmed a video of the Gatekeeper to show the Castle Creations 2280 KV sensored brushless motor in action. I drove as slow as possibly in this video and used the drag break going downhill. The RTR weight of the Gatekeeper is 3 pounds 15 ounces. The only changes I have done since the last post are change the rear axle upper link pivot balls to jeepindoug 6mm aluminum ball studs and drilled the rear axle truss to a 5 bolt truss instead of a 2 bolt.

I may have one of these still too, I would have to look.

The winter solstice on 12.21.2018 was exceptionally beautiful. After watching the sunrise, Gavin and I pulled out the comp crawlers to film and appreciate the boulders at Love's Lookout.

New Dlux Box Came in this weekend with new AR60 lower link mounts and knuckles. I wasted no time and installed all the parts on.

Egresser knuckles and plastic lower link mounts coming off.

The weight for one Egresser knuckle is= 66 grams
I forgot to weigh the Dlux Knuckles oops.
With all the upgrades the RTR weight went from 3 pounds 15 ounces to 4 pounds 3 ounces. I drove one battery and wow! The lower link mounts allow the truck to cycle the suspension alot smoother than with no angle in lower link mount. The knuckles alow the truck to grab more ledges than before and the steering stops work great.

Gavin and I (Edmundo Ayala) will be driving and filming RC cars on February 2nd at these locations. We will have a practice course or two set up for Activated Outlaw. Consider this your formal invite to stop by, drive your RC car and meet other hobbyists. This is not a competition or full blown event. This a get together with focus on driving and visiting. I hope to see you there and possibly get your RC car on camera.

Update
I have wanted to redo the front truss for some time now, So its time to redo it. I want to make the new truss the same servo mount but with different upper link mounts. Along with that I want to center the battery in-between the upper front links and move the ESC an BEC lower.
Pictures of the first setup RTR.

New Truss Installed with servo, receiver, ESC, and BEC.

New position of the ESC under the truss for lower COG weight. It just clears the driveshaft and I have already made a lexan cover to protect the ESC just not installed in these photos.

New battery position
