Axial ax10 deadbolt speed upgrade I've got an axial ax10 deadbolt that I'm wanting to get some more speed out of. I'm planning on converting it into a monster truck eventually. What would you guys recommend for good speed upgrades? I'd prefer to not go brushless if i can help it. Thanks in advance. |

You can also play with the pinnion gears to get more speed but again your motor wont last very long geared up realy high maybe 2 or 3 teeth on the pinnion any more than that and you would have motor temp issues becareful i just had a motor flame on cause it was geared to high also lost a esc for the same reason flame on lol thats why i say get the right motor If you decide to stay brushed get a 550 can motor it will have more torque and last longer |
Re: Axial ax10 deadbolt speed upgrade Just get something designed to go that fast. The handling of the scale chassis is going to be severely limiting. Adding power just finds weak parts. Every part you upgrade will just move the fail point to the next weak link. |
