Re: Szczerba’s 2019 Comp Sportsman “Enigma” Build Got the rear axle final assembled. Rear has some negative camber built into the lockouts, so uni’s it is. I have regular portal box covers but leaving these weight holders on for now, in case rear weight is needed. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...bf0a6ba5a8.jpg Transmission and motor final installed. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...1ea8bdc2f3.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...3e39b8bb93.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...8d0928995d.jpg |

Re: Szczerba’s 2019 Comp Sportsman “Enigma” Build was TT factored in on the side the driveshafts were choosen to be on? awesome trans. what pin to pin measurement is your axle width closest to on an axial rig? SCX? XR? AR60? TSS building on road racers, and Shane building carbon fiber comp rigs. the demise of RCC is here:mrgreen: |

I'd have to measure the pin to pin. I was hastily hand hacking carbon fiber comp rigs back in 2011 ! http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/axial...f-sz-2-2s.html |
Re: Szczerba’s 2019 Comp Sportsman “Enigma” Build These are 9.3” pin to pin and AR60’s are 9.65” pin to pin. |
Re: Szczerba’s 2019 Comp Sportsman “Enigma” Build Great build. How much was the setup from high altitude performance? Also, how did you narrow the axle shafts (what tools did you use?)? |

Re: Szczerba’s 2019 Comp Sportsman “Enigma” Build Very cool build! Excited to see some video of this beast. "thumbsup" |
Re: Szczerba’s 2019 Comp Sportsman “Enigma” Build I really like this project! I'm curious about the rear camber, but it's different, and I like that. The only thing I'm not such a fan of is how wide the chassis is... |

Honing in the perfect setup every evening, one 650mah pack at a time. :ror: Quote:
Rear camber is for sidehill and uphill turning stability. All of the components were/are thought out and have a purpose. The chassis is "wide" to get the upper links close to perpendicular to the axle mounting points without having to add mega spacers (weak point) at the chassis. Also, it relates to shock positioning at the chassis and the axles. So, that translates into a car that needs very little tuning (compared to a setup with multiple tuning points) when it's bolted together and ready to run. It has two adjustment points on the upper links at the axle and an 1" or so adjustment at the chassis. Paired with the link/shock locations already designed to be "close" to great. Although, some may not like this chassis setup for their driving style, it is car that works super good with little previous knowledge of car setup. Just my $0.02. I haven't built a custom sporty comp crawler since 2012 and this car jumped me right to where I was in 2012 without the hours of hand cutting chassis and other components. |
Re: Szczerba’s 2019 Comp Sportsman “Enigma” Build Itll never work - its just a fad :mrgreen::ror: 3D printing has def opened up a lot of options and Casey is finding them for sure. Nice seeing a veteran dabble in the comp side again. "thumbsup" |
Re: Szczerba’s 2019 Comp Sportsman “Enigma” Build Bad ass build! You call it Enigma, but I think it's (Red)onkulous! |
