Default Ridgecrest Monster Truck

All stock. Just added Clodbuster tires with CPE adapters and a Chevy body. It runs great and is pretty fun. The torque twist is horrible though. I am considering a full conversion to CPE monster chassis with anti-sway bars. I wish Axial would come out with a full blown monster though, all the parts are there.

Looks good..

You should check over on rcmt.net.

There are still guys racing monster trucks all over the place, I'm one of them.
We race shaft driven trucks, just like what you have created, and right on up to full blown clod racers..

I use the same body on one of my racers..

Yes, definitely check out rcmt in the axial section! Lots of wraith conversions!

A lot of us use ground pounder twin plates, or like myself, I went with CPE's Barbarian chassis. Build specifically for our drivetrains. And the sways are super efficient!

Looks killer. Love me some Solid axle MTs.

That's cool Bigstu. How'd you do those Excaliber graphics? I was thinking of doing the earlier gray Excaliber! I will definitely post over there when my Barbarian gets installed.

mirror the tranny should help with torque twist. also hows that stock servo holding up? mine died with i put sickier tires on let alone bigger. lol. looks sweet tho. would be cool to see on a scale chassis like scx chassis or check out the tcs x trail chassis. looks good tho.

So far the servo working. I stripped out the servo arm though and put back a traxxas servo saver but it's too weak for those big tires. Looking for options.

I first tried my scx chassis but can't get the body high enough or suspension tall enough to clear the tires and it's too much trouble to lower the trans.

Thanks for the lead Bigstu!

For a servo saver, you'll need soemthing like this:
TowerHobbies.com | Ofna Heavy Duty Servo Saver w/CNC Top Blue

Like mentioned above, mirror the trans to help reduce torque twist, also a little stiffer spring in the rear helps.

I've been thinking about doing a AR60 based monster myself, either with a SCX chassis or one of the TCS scale chassis that were meant to convert the AX10 Scorpion to a scaler. I'd probably do a F350 crew cab body.

I really like the build.

I did an AX10 Monster conversion a few years back.

Ended up making it my "homage" to Bigfoot #5 by giving it some old Jumbo Kong Tires.

You don't see AX10's anymore, you don't see Jumbo Kongs anymore... Well then, you've probably never seen Jumbo Kongs on an AX10 before. Hahahaha
