Everytime someone does a teaser video we have similar responses on the forum.

"Any publicity is good publicity"

I may actually have to finally stop procrastinating and sell off my Associated DB8 Nomad buggy to get this one, I already lied to myself when I got the Element without getting rid of it first. Just got no interest in go-fast rigs anymore!

I've only driven the dang thing on 3 occasions...

I'm ok with teasers, I just think Axial fails pretty hard at them. I was really interested in the first teaser or two for the UMG10, but they dragged it out so long and gave so little information that by the time the truck had released I'd lost all interest.

I think Element nailed the teasers by actually showing clear pictures of parts of the truck.

Also like Traxxas' approach of "Hey, here's a new thing we made"

This is exciting that they have something new coming out. Hopefully something 1/10 scale. But everyone is right the trailer sucks.

You have to be real careful though, and it has to be a truly innovative, brand new product. Otherwise the hype train can run away from you, and it backfires with a “wait, thats all there is?” Type of reaction from the market. This industry has a habit of overestimating how exiting an iterative product can be. Even if it is a portal axled SCX10II, thats really just keeping up with the industry, not plowing ahead. If thats the case, just announce it as you would any other product.

Notable that this is an Axial product, and not a Viterra one though. Id be interested to know if this was born as a HH product bound for Vaterra that was pivoted toward Axial post acquisition, of was an axial brain child from the start.

Well at least it looks like they did something a little different with the transmission...

Capra = Marked Motorsports Wraith II?

It is a WE Rock buggy with portals and ties to Axial.

Good detective work, this seems pretty believable.

What SVT923 said ^^^. I was trying to remember which 1:1 rock type buggy had the Axial garb on it. Find that and you'll find the 9/12 release. There it is. Should like!

Nice find.
Would be very innovative if it would come with linear steering servo...

well that's spiffy and almost a slap to the face of anybody who got the recent 1.9 wraith?
for once this is a rig i could actually like with portals under it. i will file this under "neato" but probably wont get one. happy with my enduro for now.

all that said... whats going to be on this thing: 1.9 or 2.2? the 1:1 doesn't look enormous so i think 1.9 would be more scale.

"I don't think it's a slap in the face, I put a lot into customizing my 1.9 Wraith, no regrets, in seeing that new Axial bugy prototype at Axialfest this year, all it means to me is that I'll be adding another model to my collection!"

Yep.

Ding ding ding!

Think that's it.

Looks like two-speed transmission with attached transfer case setup, Losi/Vaterra plastics and tolerances please!
