Was toying with the idea of using Tranny with Dig and New Portal Axles (a few days ago- before I got hold ), imagining many Possibilities for a Cool Project.

Started the Build late Evening, and Finally a Runner Early in the Morning. Sure had tons of Fun, thinking of getting a second Kit to build and enjoy with a Family & Friends who are not into RC. "thumbsup"

New Portal Axle & NewTransmission With DiG Design, Quality, and Fit are Superbly Excellent. Would I recommend Swapping for Vanquish or SSD Portal Axle and Transmission + DiG?! NO Way! There is No Reason I can think of why we Must UNDO
Asomenthing that was put together nicely & Works!

That's all I got that "can be" fit - totally bind Free from the axles -- under the the Capra.

Sure can go 1200 mAh 15-35C mDE popular for Shafty & MOA's BY HH & The Bsttery Man.
Kidding Aside, that's kinda seriously Compromised Way for what this Little Beast promisingly $ Potentially Can Conquer. Going Yaba Daba Doo.

Re: Siggy's Capra 1.9 Unlimited Trail Buggy

Siggy, maybe you can help me? I put a Futaba A700 in my Capra as well, but it doesn't cycle the steering all the way. It's like it only rotates ~60° instead of the typical ~90°. I tried a longer (25mm) servo horn, but that's still not enough, and there's not room to go longer (I had to clearance the servo horn just to make the 25mm fit.) Does your's steer lock to lock? Did you have to reprogram the servo?

Does the servo contact the battery with it mounted like that? I'll have to give that a try.

Re: Siggy's Capra 1.9 Unlimited Trail Buggy

No Bind. No Problems with Mine.

Check the Servo Horn is not binding on the Axles, nor does the screw/nut you used to secure link to servo horn.
Nex Check that Servo Horn is centered. Then Check End point Adjustment, Subtrim, Channel Limiter, Switch & Settings.

If that does not fix probers take out and try on other model.

Smart 3S 2200 mAh 100C sits nice like almost perfect for the Lipo size at this side. Lower CG, as well.

Thanks for that video. There certainly appears to be a problem within my servo (or even my trusty radio, endpoints at 150%, dual rate at 100%) on my car. Back to your regularly scheduled program! "thumbsup"

Vanquish Portal Idea seem to be a good one. Hoping it a Quick plug and play kinda thing. PLUS some might not to go Vanquish Portal Axles fining the axles to be significantly shorter than what they were hoping. Remember these were for the SZX10 II -- not the Capra. so it's not Vanquishes's fault to be fair.

Attachment 384135

Need to get Steering Links for the Vanquish Portal Axles. Need too tune the Front/Rear Upper and low links to get Best height clearance from the portal, and good angle of output to make sure that driveshaft alignment is not twisted and bends, po-out if if not break either the front/rear plastic driveshaft when articulated and on-power. PLUS the Axial Rod ends for link & Shock is tad too wide for the Vanquish Portal Axle Mount.

We need a front servo mount on the axle. Have no idea make if the one Vanquish has for their F9 SCX-II will also work on the F9 Portal Axles.

https://cdn10.bigcommerce.com/s-1pjn...80.380.jpg?c=2

assuming it mounts, NEXT Q is if the Steering Servo will NOT Limit Articualtion due to bind, Damping Actiion, and/or Bind on the hassis.

SURE with FreeTime, Tools, and a Workshop. and some pointers a fix can be done. BUT the details can overwhelm even the experienced Builder or especially weekend Bashers that already have very Limited FREE Time to PLAY and No time nor the Interest to think, tinker, Figure-out, Ters, and Fix.
