Nice work scrounging.
I understand that one, big time...tho, not with RC parts, but computer & A/V parts.

And then this happened...

3d printed weight hangers vmgontherocks gave me over a year ago and some hanger brackets made from dividers for tackle boxes.

He means... give file pls. I had a similar idea as well, just never acted on it yet. Are those the pine car tungsten weights or something different?

I don't have the file for these holders.

They are 3/8 x 7/16" tungsten pine car slugs. Dluxfab.com has by far the best price on them.

What would you do with 8 slugs on each side?

Lol yup sneetches is right. I hope who ever did the print used ABS filament. Regular PLA tends to break down and warp when exposed to UV.

Since you're on a diet, cut out some of the excess angled pieces at the top of the cage and maybe the rear angled downtubes.

I'm debating cutting a bunch of delrin ones or swapping over to 7075 and cutting some new wheel faces for the predator Hyrax that just showed up today.

Just got home. Let the games begin!

Casey you should do them in delrin for shizzle. Light weight with only low hanging would be groovy too.

So as it turns out the diagonal measurement of the capra portal cover is half a RCH larger than 1" so the printed tungsten hangers happened to work out and fit inside my wheels.

The Krazed covers fit nicely as expected and they center off the 4 bolt bosses. The covers have recesses around each bolt to do the job. This does require the raised portion between the bolt holes be cut off with a razor blade but it's easy and quick so no drama.

Bob, as expected the bolt pattern on the hangers and diameter is spot on so dlux dice weights drop right on too. If I'm feeling really froggy I can bolt on 7.75 oz per knuckle off of a comp rig.

Thats totally a flook the holes line up with those but awesome for guys who already have the hangers.

Looks like you got plenty of options now for weight too. I was curious if delrin hangers would be a better option.
