i replaced the transmission case that i ground too far trying to fir a smaller pinion with a crawlmaster sport. got a crawl master pro 16t and installed it with a 9t pinion (no trans case adjustment necessary). great lo speed control. i also vented my deep woods. i won’t have the opportunity to get out for a couple days but im loving the low speed resolution in my house. i can’t wait to get it on some rocks.

Installed a Vanquish underdrive ring/pinion in the rear. Haven't tried it out side yet (raining here all day) but indoors I can really notice a better turning radius. Can't wait to try it on the rocks in the backyard course.

swapped out the deepwoods for showdowns. in side-by-side testing, showdowns seem to have the edge in the damp, clay and sandy conditions ive been crawling in. (wider lug spacing and less tendency to fold the lugs). I also added some home made weight using motorcycle wheel weights to each portal box. front got 42grams each (84g total) and rear got 28g each (56g total). its been raining for a couple days so probably wont be able to test the weights for a few days.

Not trying to answer for anyone else. I run Showdowns on 2 of my crawlers. I thought the stock foams were way to soft and the tires folded over a lot side hilling. Put Proline dual stage foams in them and I think they’re great.

Im using Pro-Line dual stage. i didnt like stock foams as they seemed too big and "folded" inside the tire. I didnt even install them completely. Although, im not sure the PL dual stages fit all that well because i can feel empty space between the foams and the sides of the tires. When these wear out i want to try some CI foams.

Oh, and the tires are vented. two holes 180 apart made with a soldering iron.
