Default Capra Scx10ii width + element overdrive transmission

Hello!

In my opinion the stock capra is to high and to wide so i decided to go with Scx10ii wide Vanquish F9 axles and since the capra Transmission is very fast geared i decided to mount the Element stealth transmission with overdrive.

The conversion was pretty easy, just had to drill new holes for the transmission to bolt right on the stock skid.

For me the capra is not a comp rig more like a daily bitch for trailruns and some crawling on my garden course.

Paintjob was the biggest work and it took me about 6 hours.

Awesome! I was theorycrafting a build like this but forgot to check different transmissions against the Capra skid while I had it unassembled. Was it not possible to get the 4th bolt hole for the transmission?

3 holes are enough ... no i will drill the 4th hole but i was too curious and had to testdrive it and forgot about that afterwards

Looks good!

Now let’s see the Capra tranny and axles on an SCX10 II chassis. 👍🏼

Wow...

Super-nice conversion!

I really like the proportions and the paint is conceptually excellent and (near as I can tell in these pics) applied like a pro!

I don't often get a chance to say this here, but post your pics LARGER!

Very cool conversion. That's sitting quite a bit lower than with the Capra portals . Do the tires rub on anything at full lock?

Nice pics! So how does it crawl with those axles sitting lower to the ground?

Flat skid prototype tested... 9mm more clearance makes a big difference on my testtrack.. still some modifications for strength to make but for the first test very happy
