Pink is for display use only and not for sale to the public. Sorry for any confusion this pic may have caused.

So what’s the story when are you going to have some of those portal covers up for sale?

Yeah!

I actually ran into this chassis on the website before I saw this thread. I'm kinda wishing I hadn't seen either, lol. I just got my Capra where I like it and now I'm thinking of changing it, again.

Great work Rob! Can we get it in black?

Are the portal weights/covers up for sale?
If so, where can I order them (as long as it's not through Facebook)?

Those weight holders only fit dluxfab.com "loaded dice" wheels which are 2.2" as an example these are dlux weights inside his wheels. They are a custom fab type of setup. Not terribly difficult and he has videos on his site explaining every step.

The second pic is the portal cover and weight so you get a better idea what it entails. High Altitude Performance (Almighty Malach) here on rcc has a 3d printed tungsten holder option that can be ran with a few common 2.2 wheels. They fit nicely inside of Crawler Innovations 6 bolt wheels so no custom stuff needed.

Guess, until someone comes out with portal convert weights that for any 1.9 and/or 2.2 wheel, I'll have to go without.

I don't know of anyone working on 1.9 compatible knuckle weights or portal covers.

For me, it wouldn't matter which...I'm running 1.9 tires on 2.2 wheels, so designed for either would work for me.

Got the fixture jig machined and programmed the machine last night. Running the first test batch this weekend and should be ready for pre-order next week.

I can machine delrin ones too if you wanted the weight kept off there and just hang lower.

Pre-sale Im anticipating in the next week. I do use Facebook but I always post on RCC too. Facebook because its the evil we have to use for business, RCC because this community and website are what keeps the hobby growing.

1) the portals will fit 1.9 and 2.2 wheel
2) Brass will be the main material. I can do delrin also if people wanted to mix things up or change their weight options. Delrin will be a cut on demand thing.
3) I nailed numbers down this week actually and Im looking at Portals = $45 .... Loaded Dice hangers = 60$ ...... Rock Magnet hangers = 75$
4) Ill have a pre-order posted here and itll be directed through our webstore. Easier to maintain the list with payment/shipping insured through Paypal

The portal itself weighs roughly 30G's each. I am planning to tackle the stock 1.9 wheels and some sort of brass hanger add on. It probably wont have room for tungsten slugs but its on my mind to get done for the drivers with smaller wheels. Im a comp guy so thats why we tackled the 2.2 stuff first.

As for the chassis, I have gotten it out to drive a bit. Our weather here has been damp and cold so I havent had much wheel time yet but I really love this thing so far. Still just stock parts besides our chassis conversion. Weighs in just under 5* with body so I will be going to the light side once I get some time. Hoping to have some video soon too once I get some nicer weather.
