Default Krazed Builds Alcista

So i wont bore you with the stock pictures of the Capra. Axial hit a home run with this kit for all types of drivers I think. I bought this for my daughter but we know I cant just leave it stock. Being a comp guy and a company making comp parts I just had to play with some ideas.

Im gonna use this for a log on our tester and the fun my daughter will have with it. I chose the name Alcista since it means Bull in spanish. Bull just sounded so blah lol.

But enough of my chatter for now. Heres some pictures of where Im currently at. Waiting on a body and some odd ball stuff coming next week so its just a roller for now. Well that and I cant find my spare motor since I cleaned up my bench. Organize and loose things ..... scatter and I know where everything is lol.

Time for pictures ......

Did a couple small things to take a few grams out of the transmission on this thing. Being that Im gonna be using it in the 2.2S class I dont really have a need for a dig. For now I took the lock plate out and changed over to a printed slipper eliminator.

Ive got a couple more things I wanna try but I rally hope they release a hardened alum gear setup for this truck. It would really shed some weight then.

Lugs rule out here. You'll learn that when you come this way for worlds in 2040.

That slipper eliminator is going to die. Make one out of aluminum and get it over with.

I really need to use my good camera for this thing, sorry about the shoddy photography.

But heres the printed from tray for electronics and/or battery. It sandwiches between the stock servo mount and the axle. It floats above the upper links and driveshaft so no binding. Its also flexible enough to contour to articulation. These will come in our kits

I also got some, lots of some, work done yesterday. Nailed down the portal covers and weight hangers. Two different hangers depending on your wheels for the comp scene.

More coming soon ........

Got some test pieces madee. Portal covers are direct bolt on replacement for the plastic cover.
2 Different hangers - 1 style for loaded dice wheels and the other for rock magnets.
Im rolling the rock magnets so those are going on mine to test and the loaded dice wheel one is getting shipped out next week to another driver.

Chassis's are coming in G10 colors for options and a great pocket saving into 2.2S competition or just yard running. We will have CF ones available for the serious or bling effect. The printed parts are already on our Shapeways store and will be available when the chassis is.

Found my Holmes motor last night, its old but its be dependable for me and I even wired it up lol. Now just gotta get some time to run our own rig. Ill drop some cell phone pics now though.

Oh we got Starbucks here too, for the price of their coffee I can put a set of tires on my RC truck Twice

At least its not Tim Hortons out there ........ You could fuel a lawn mower on that stuff.

Of course there are Dunkin Donuts out west but they don't have the market share that Starbucks and Dutch Bro's have in the slightest.

Dutch brothers is ok but Starbucks is fawking terrible. Every single coffee I've tried is burned. Even those I brewed at home. My niece that manages a Starbucks doesn't like it but they pay the bills so...

Never had Timmy's, been up north a few times but I'm not much of a coffee guy.

You screw up another dice brass hanger yet?
