ProTek 3S 4100 Shorty Battery in Capra

Took the below picture to show that the ProTek 3-Cell 4100 mAh Graphene Plus Battery does fit into the battery box under the hood of my Capra. Pack also provides needed weight (222 gm) to the front end. If it turns out to be too much weight, I can always downsize...LOL

I run that battery in every rig. I don’t have a Capra but I can tell you it’s a very well balanced size and weight

That would be 3 to 4 hours run time for me. I might need to get one.

Good luck. Every LiHv pack I've ever had puffed in a few cycles, hope these are different.

These packs were purchased from AMain Hobbies in February and have been used in three different crawlers since then. Solid performers.

Quick question, I have this battery, how do I charge it in a none LiHV Lipo charger. I've been setting my charger to 3600mah 3S and not to 4100mah.

I mainly got it just because it fits like a glove in the Capra.

I've seen pretty much every ProTek battery puff at the racetrack. That's why I refuse to buy them.

I've heard that a few times before. My only protek pack was an overpriced transmitter pack for my mt4. It was a dud on arrival. I went through every test procedure I could come up with and finally gave up. tore it apart and found a little circuit board on each cell and one was fried. Removed both of them and soldered it up like a standard pack and it's great. I'm just hoping it doesn't puff due to the high discharge rate of the radio...

You need a charger capable of charging li hv batteries to get the most out of this battery.

Its fine to treat it as a LIPO when charging and you can use the full 4.1 amps if you wanted to.

Yep you leave a bit of run time (and voltage of course) on the table by not charging to the LIHV voltage.
