Default Yep,another Capra

Been away from crawlers for a while but was needing something to do with my time and, when I saw the Capra,I had to have one. LOL
I'll spare you the build pics since we've all seen them before.
Decided to try the Pitbull Rockbeast XL's. They're on stock wheels for the moment.Only mods are some 8MM limiters in the shocks to lower it a hair. Will see how I like it before buying new shocks.
Here's a couple of finished pics. Color didn't turn out like I was hoping but,I'm still happy with it.

Thanks. I think I'm gonna enjoy this. My neighbor has been on me about going crawling and now I have something to drive.
Maybe This'll give me the motivation to finish the '66.

Got my wheels and color matched rings. Need to get the tires mounted now that my button heads came today. May have one more trick up my sleeve for the wheels. Also, need to decide on how much weight to add to the wheels.
And,decided to go with a little more wheel speed. Also, trying out some different shocks.

Liking the stance with the new shocks set up in a (semi?) droop configuration.
Will be mounting the new wheels as soon as I get one more thing.

I just picked up a Capra, and I was thinking of running a set of 90mm Desert Lizard shocks that I have had for a while to get a little lower COG. Mind if I ask which springs you used to achieve your semi-droop setup?

I just folllowed their instructions. Uses a short spring below the piston and a medium length one above. I used the softest ones for now.will probably go to a medium stiffness in the rear.

Thanks. That's what I was planning to do as well. What weight oil did you decide to use? Some people apparently don't fill these shocks with oil, and just add a few drops for lubrication. I'm probably going to fill mine with oil. Just not sure what weight to use yet.

I used 30wt because I had some. I'll see how that does.Probably end up going lighter weight.

Said I had one more trick up my sleeve. Those that know me from the past probably could have guessed.
Got my new rings done. Now to decide which ones to use.
