Capra FRO MkII after building my massive overdrive capra with the optimized original tubeframe i am now going to build a second one with some new and spare parts |
Re: Capra FRO MkII starting with some rails a buddy make me. it used the original capra geometry made from lightweight cheap gfk https://i.ibb.co/PjqKxYV/20191101-172255.jpg |
Re: Capra FRO MkII old total weight was 2480gr old frame nearly 400gr new rails less than the half, so i can safe some weight the new rails have the same geometrie like the original capra frame, but also more posibilities for mounting the shocks https://i.ibb.co/L80BqXh/20191103-122228.jpg https://i.ibb.co/6XY1sv5/20191103-122246.jpg |
Re: Capra FRO MkII taking some parts from my spare box. twinhammer cage and exo panels. so i can do nice lowrider with perfect cog and low weight https://i.ibb.co/rGSCpxB/20191103-132035.jpg https://i.ibb.co/XtvNjtB/20191103-132652.jpg |
Re: Capra FRO MkII but then i thought about to swap to a ax10 skid for smaler rails = so the dampers could stand much more optimal https://i.ibb.co/B41WnCQ/20191103-173052.jpg https://i.ibb.co/X8cLnPJ/20191103-173409.jpg |
Re: Capra FRO MkII riding height is now with massive advantage to the original capra https://i.ibb.co/9p826TX/20191103-190424.jpg https://i.ibb.co/W0GVMC6/20191103-190430.jpg |
Re: Capra FRO MkII due the rules in the austrian C3 i went the safe way using some JDM shit now i have the weight of the car 200gr lighter than with the original capra cage, also the riding height is 2cm lower https://i.ibb.co/n14nhQn/20191103-190329.jpg https://i.ibb.co/CJP9qNp/20191103-190400.jpg |
Re: Capra FRO MkII LOL. But does she perform? |
Re: Capra FRO MkII she will perform in the worlds most difficult race series in austria and italy 2020 here with the old tube cage, i am now with 2cm deeper cog and 200gr lighter on the top: https://youtu.be/bRCN_hxdpok |
Re: Capra FRO MkII WOW!!! Watching the video, truly looks like it can climb almost anything. ~ More peace, love, laughter & kindness would make the world a MUCH better place |
Re: Capra FRO MkII |
Re: Capra FRO MkII very interesting concept! Probably one of the best scale performances "thumbsup" Which body (Honda) is on your car ? The result is changing from current bodies, and I like it :) Tires are 2.2 ? What's their diameter ? On your video, the car makes a strange and irritating noise, it's a fan ? :???: P.S.: where is "Saxonia" ? |
Re: Capra FRO MkII i dont know the lexan honda. it was on a tamiya tt02 the noise is just the sound of the 14 pole 2000kV outrunner from 3brothers the tires are rc4wd baja mtz narrow. they are 121mm diameter to fit the european C3 class saxonia is in central europe |
Re: Capra FRO MkII sorting all the crap and soldering for shorter wires i use the hobbywing 1060 as esc for the 25k winch on 3s because this old modell is 25gr lighter than the 1080, tinier and with 12€ very cheap i also used a vaterra twinhammers batterie tray. it's 1mm over the upper links https://i.ibb.co/S5bqfkf/20191109-150802.jpg https://i.ibb.co/z52xXYK/20191109-190247.jpg |
Re: Capra FRO MkII happy now. without compression the lower links are parallel to the ground https://i.ibb.co/xLVt2Lv/20191109-190341.jpg https://i.ibb.co/zrvRHp0/20191109-190345.jpg |
Re: Capra FRO MkII C3 rules say i need a driver. a screw in the head was very usefull https://i.ibb.co/k1005cN/20191109-193107.jpg |
Re: Capra FRO MkII changed the rear foams into very hard ones for more sidehill stability https://i.ibb.co/Wgg2jSD/20191109-194121.jpg |
Re: Capra FRO MkII front swaybar from the wraith is now working in the rear. i added some knuckleweights https://i.ibb.co/qW37Nzd/20191110-013931.jpg https://i.ibb.co/Y0WxY1D/20191110-015308.jpg |
Re: Capra FRO MkII visible swaybar is most common on lowriders https://i.ibb.co/yqP7F5W/20191110-023039.jpg https://i.ibb.co/8KMQ7kw/20191110-023047.jpg |
Re: Capra FRO MkII i am now deeper, longer and wider than my 2019 C3 rig. i have now also 30% more overdrive but because the portals a lower steering angle https://i.ibb.co/zFJmXqN/20191110-024920.jpg https://i.ibb.co/X7DgPvt/20191110-025011.jpg |
