Hitec 7954. Great servo for the money! Remember the output shaft splines are 24 tooth. FYI for a alloy horn...

Reefs are amazing. Currently ran 444, 555 and 99 for dig. Amazing customer service great price point and way underrated torque. They have much higher than stated in independent tests. Reefs for me from now on.

Reef's 555 in mine. I've got another on order to go in the Enduro.

Savox 1256tg. It’s what I had at the time of the build. We will see how it does and upgrade if needed.

I went a little lower budget on the servo on this one (although I went all out pretty much everywhere else this puppy). Still a solid servo @7.4v. Eco-Power WP120T.

Futaba A700
1,027oz/74kg
.12s @ 7.4v

I probably would have just bought another 2290, but I pulled the Futaba from my MOA before I sold it.

Regarding the RTR... I'm wanting to keep costs down right now but also wanting to upgrade the steering servo. I'd like to keep the stock ESC and not have to install an external BEC.

Can anyone confirm that the stock ESC can handle a better/ stronger servo straight from the stock ESC with no external BEC?

And for anyone who's gone this route, what servo are you using?

The rtr's AE5-L esc's bec is rated at 6v/3a, I'd feel comfortable powering an $11 (each, when bought in a 4 pack, $20 for 1) DS3218Pro servo (23.5kg/326oz) from there.

Thanks, LJ. I've got a couple DS3218's already but was wanting to use something with more torque. I may just pull my HH shv500v2 out of my Marlin and drop in the Capra for now.

Would love to drop in a G13 but limited servo funds atm. Maybe temporarily I'll just pull my shv500v2 outta my TF2 and throw it in the goat.
