AX10 Transmission on The Capra?

Over on Facebook I've seen a few people asking about the AX10 Transmission mod in the Capra. Haven't seen too much chatter about it though. Wondering what the benefits of this mod are? I have an old school AX10 that I was considering selling for parts and the transmission is upgraded with the hardened steel gears and a 3Racing rear wheel dig... anyone got any info?

Personally, I don't know what, if any, benefits there might be (too new to crawlers to know/understand)...but, I can tell you, for my 2nd Capra, I will be using an AX tranny w/ VP Hurtz V2 dig.

The AX10 transmission would give you more gearing options. You could gear it down more.

That's true. With the Capra's stock trans, you can only change the pinion (11T min with stock housing, 9T min with the Vitavon housing). With the AX trans, can change spur & pinion. For my second Capra, will be going with the SS-built trans (hope to have it ordered before the end of the week).
