Looks awesome man. I really like where you’re headed with this. It has got to be awesome to have access to all that equipment.

Looking good so far, only thing I'd be concerned, personally, is those deep notched chassis just to access the skid bolts to links. I'd be scared chassis could bend at those notches...

Yeah. I've wondered about that also.Plan on adding some tubework so Hopefully that will help. If not,I'll figure something out for support.

Haven't been able to get this thought out of my mind so, I eliminated the notches. Screwed the link screws in from the inside. Now I'm just waiting on my new rails to get back from the waterjet.

Also, finally got my rings mounted. really like the simple look of these.

Also, was indecisive on what I wanted to do with the lower links. If you've seen some of my past builds, you'll know that I usually make some machined lowers.
Couldn't decide on what old design I wanted to use so,I drew up a new design. The basics on them are the same but,I changed them just enough to make them unique to this build. The first pics are some of the old designs.Last one is what I think I'll make for this one. Let me know what you think.
Speed holes always make you go faster but Im liking the the newer styles here. they just add an extra level of "holy Fark thats sick"

Got my links machined today. Sandblasted one to compare it to the raw finish. Think I'm leaning towards the raw finish. I'll run them through the tumbler on Monday to see how they come out.

Getting closer. Got the chassis and bumpers painted. Not overly happy with the paint but,I'll redo them when I get a couple of other things done.
Also,got the links mounted.

Got the winch, servo and battery box mounted. Gonna make a lexan plate behind the servo for mounting electronics. Should be able to test drive this thing soon.

Wasn't happy with the crappy plastic caps on the stock shocks so,ordered some Pro-Line Pro specs. Feel much smoother.

Finally got the body painted. Except for a couple of small things,I can call this done for now. Took it on it's first outing today and,I'll say,I like it. Definitely requires a different driving style than the regular Capra but,it does quite well.
I'll update this thread if I make any major changes. Until then,I'm going to enjoy it.

Who makes those beadlock rings? They are perfect!

Also, how much did it cost to have those links machined?

I designed the rings and had my works laser dept. cut them for me. I machined the links so,the only cost was time.

Got my light bar mounted and wired.On/off is from the radio. Also mounted my hi-lift.
Today I made some sliders. The ends are angled and,if you look close, the bottom side is chamfered on 3 sides. Decided to use square stock just to be different.
