Axial Unimog wheels on a Capra

Has anyone tried these wheels or have a set they can compare with the stock wheel?

I have both rigs. The Unimog wheels rub slightly on the Capra's portal housing. If you really had too, I think you could get enuf clearance by taking a Dremel sanding drum to it, tho I wouldn't really recommend that. I used the SSD steel wheels which fit great and add a little weight where needed.

Dang, I was hoping they were the same inner and lock ring and just used a different outer for the cosmetics. Thanks for the info. Hmm, do you think they're compatible? Could I use Capra parts with the Unimog outer?

I do like those wheels. I'm old school for off-roaders. I love hummer wheels and steel wheels and the Unimog ones look alot like the hummer's.

if I get a chance this evening, I'll check to see if the Capra inners match the Unimog outers.

Nice and simple. I have the Axial plastic wheels that look like that. I got them years ago for my Losi MRC and they look great on there, but they don't fit over the Capra portal boxes.

Just so happen to be swapping a set of the wheels out on another build.
It’s a little tight up too with the SSD brass portal weights, but I don’t see any places they’re rubbing

I got some UMG10 wheels and they do fit a bit tighter than the stock ones. I can now see what you mean by the improved plastics in the latest kits. Anyway, it was simple to clearance the brass with a file.
