Default Capra VS410 chassis

I would like to share my build of a capra with a twist. I bought a capra builders kit and a vs410 chassis kit with full intention of making my own version of a custom rig. I think I have pulled it off other than an axle mounted servo. Had to go that route because parts availability and may or may not change in the future. It was a fun build with custom link lenghts using various ball ends, drilling the skid and mounting the transmission with good driveline angles. I also made my first cage with brakeline and learning to braze. I also did my first attempt of a petina paint job. I thank Chino at delta rc for the advice and ideas of what may or may not work. I am proud of this build and hope you all enjoy. I still have work to do such as winch system and interior / exterior details but will get to it soon. 4wd, Front wheeel drive only and full dig all work perfectly Here are a bunch of build photos. Thank for checking it out in advance and any advice for better performance or looks is appreciated

Mounted the winch. Need to drill or elongate a couple of the holes on wertymade bumper to get the two outer bolts in. Center ones lined up.

Makeshift flex ramp. Rig is ok but I think it should have more. Tried flipping shocks upside down for added lower CG even though it's so minimal but what the heck, worth a try. I can't get the shocks laid over anymore because the mounts. Anyone got and ideas or where to get different mounts for vs410 chassis?

Not sure if it's what you are looking for, but IERC makes a set of VS4-10 mounts:

Those are exactly what I was looking for. Thank you for the link Shinook. Ordered the shock towers, bed and headache rack also to clean up the rear of the truck. Hope it fits

I got mine last week and everything looks really nice. My Powerwagon body shows up today, so my VS4-10 will be getting an overhaul soon also. I haven't had a chance to see if these mounts fit under the stock body, though.

I would like to see how they fit if you get a chance. I was not sure if I should post my build under Capra or VS410 thread. So since it truly started as a Capra I went here. Appreciate the responses and help with the link and any other info.

I'll let you know! I will probably wait a few days until the body is trimmed and painted, but have almost everything I need for now.

Nice! I'm working on getting my cab body ready to paint, should have most of it done this weekend, I'm real anxious to see how all this stuff works out.

Good stuff shinook. I need to play with shock angle for ride height and maybe take out the internal pen springs trick. But everything went together smooth and looks good. Cleaned up the back of my truck for sure. Thanks again for the link to the parts

Had the truck out over the weekend and broke some teeth off a top portal gear. A small rock wedged between portal and inside rim. I hammered the throttle and pop. So I ordered the Team Garage Hack portal gears from Super Shafty and look forward to getting it fixed. I got the wild overdrive for front and stock replacement for rear. Hope it works . Anyone have these on their capra? How do you like the overdriven front?

Got some Wertymade rock sliders and did some drilling / thru bolting to mount them up. Also cleaned up the wiring and relocated the winch controller and reciever. Old Cactus Jack is in as a driver figure. Also fixed my broke portal gears with the TGH gears. Front is wild overdrive ratio and rear is stock ratio. Can't figure out how to post video showing overdriven front. Hope to test it today at Rock city Park Mt. Diablo. Does anyone run this portal gearing? How do you like it?

Got out to play yesterday for a few. Everything went ok except the esc kept thermaling. Mamba micro x is not very good for this truck apparently. I guess I will buy the mamba x or rob it from my bomber for now. Frustrating for sure
