Default Capra light power

Hi
I'm swapping my dynamite esc for a 1080, why do headlights power from esc and bar light comes from receiver?

I spiced mine together at the receiver since I didn't want to use the program port to do it. Works fine on my Capra with the same 1080

There's NO need to splice them together. Simply user a servo Y-cable. Shoes you too connect two 'devices' (servos, lighting, etc) to the same port. For example, using three of them, you could connect 4 sets of lights (headlights, taillights, and two different lightbars), to the same port.

Except the capra headlights are not a servo style connector...? Is there a y cable for that small square connector??

Have you tried fitting the headlight connector into the receiver? Try inserting the connector into Ch3 on the RX using only the Rx's + & - pins. As I bought the kit, and built myself, I installed headlights that had the standard 3-pin connector.

They do make adapters, jst to jr connector just make sure you get the male n female ends right. Or just cut n splice like dezracer99 said, save a couple bucks and be done.

Ahh cool, I got an rtr, then ended up changing everything anyway, and currently haven't hooked the headlights back up.

Got them all working, spliced them together as they were 2 different plugs, does anyone know if the lights will cope with 7.4v setting? I have HV servos so know they'll be ok

I’ve been running my light bar at 7.4v for a few hours so far. Even submerged it in water and it still works.
I have a kit with no headlights so can’t speak for those but light bar seems to be ok so far!
