Kit supplied "threadlock" Since it is red, can I assume that it's Red Loctite? Should I chuck it and use Blue instead? I'm leery of using red since I never use that strong stuff in any of my R/C builds or any other hobby purposes. Always blue or purple Loctite. |
Re: Kit supplied "threadlock" The kit threadlock, despite being red in color is removeable, like "Threadlocks" Brand blue. |
Re: Kit supplied "threadlock" It is still medium strength thread lock, just red in color. The kit tube is good for throwing in a trail bag for on the go repairs, I usually use a big bottle of the good threadlock when wrenching on the bench. |
Re: Kit supplied "threadlock" Thanks for the info guys and good idea svt923. I'll use my ginormous bottle of blue Loctite to build the kit and keep the little tube in a field box. :D |
Re: Kit supplied "threadlock" When I built my 10.3, I thought the exact same thing that the included red threadlock was the same at Loctite red, so I pitched it thinking I would have to use heat to remove screws. |
