Default Mats Capra moon buggy

I had my Capra guts mounted in my RCSPEEDY KOH frame but I didn’t like the look of the portals on that chassis, so I went down a different route of using a Gmade R1 frame with the Capra.

I printed some skid plate to frame adapters

Had to machine up the chassis spacers to the correct length as the Capra skid is wider than the R1

Also printed up some trays for the esc/engine at the rear and a battery tray up front.

All fits in nice and snug!

All I have left to do is body panels and a basic interior.

Very nice. I have always liked that cage. I put a set of Bully axles under one several years ago.

Cool build!

Great job on the 3D prints and chassis spacers to make it all come together! Love the look with the scale engine hiding the ESC!

I like the moon buggy look and it gives me ideas for my Capra that has been sitting idle since I built it last year.

Can't wait to see the rest of the build!

This is great! I'm in the middle of one but using pro44's. I've always liked the
R1 cage and wanting something a bit different. Yours looks fantastic

Would that scale engine fit in the back of a stock Capra frame?

Dang, I missed this thread - I just ordered the Injora copy of the R1 cage, and a cheap transmission and set of shocks to build something like this down the road...

Looks incredible with the added scale engine and other details!
