Capra Tranny for straight axles

Help me out guys, please
I got a capra kit and stole the axles for a gspeed build


Now I want to build the capra with the ar45 straight axle kit, for fun
But I know I will need a different tranny, and probable skid


Please list some good options for me, for the tranny and skid to bolt it in

Standard Axial 3-gear seems to be the go-to, but an element trans may also work. UC Fab and Vader both makes skids, not sure if there are other options out there

Vader 3-gear adapter, and your choice of trans. If you want to keep dig, the Amazon-sourced Que-T gearbox offers a quite good clone of a Hurtz dig. If you're not set on dig, the Element Stealth is super smooth. I've built up a Capra cage with all Element underneath and it's fantastic.

You could go with SSD Diamond axles. You can flip the R and P gears in them.

I second the stealth transmission. I put AR60s in mine and it worked great with the stealth. The only problem you may have is drive shafts hitting the links. I cured that by bending the upper link slightly and offset rod ends. Good luck.

This thought crossed my mind as well. I was thinking the stock trans along with a Revolver Snubnose and an RC4WD 4:1 GRU may work for non-portal axles.
