Default Rules for Rescue Rigs?

Thinking about building a recovery vehicle and bringing it along, but wanted to know if there will be any rules other then "make it scale". Also wondering if we can bring large scale rigs?

there are several people planning on bringing Large scale rigs, If there is enough of them we will get something going for you.

Bring everything you can stuff in your car or suitcase

What about recovery rigs? I was thinking about doing a sort of halftrack vehicle...Let me know if this would be allowed. If it is I will move it up on the projects list.

Why would anyone need a rescue vehicle?

Ohhh, I forgot everyone doesn't drive like the Colorado guys.

you thinking of following one truck with another? or driving around a seriously badass tow truck?

You can run multiple winches if you have the radio for it

I'm talking about building a tow rig that is used when the tow rig gets caught

And Jason-I'm from Colorado, but I felt like helping those who are less fortunate.

you can drive what ever you want on the course but 1 truck 1 driver

there will be a buddy course that the goal is to help when they get stuck though

No, I mean like I am asking if anyone would have any qualms with me bringing a recovery vehicle that was track-driven, to help anyone and everyone during the comps. Like building a scale version of this: http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/l...rv-dvic353.jpg

If it's like last year, other drivers would earn points for winching or something to get someone through a course, there wasn't a dedicated rescue truck.

I'd be more then happy to build the dedicated rescue vehicle...It wouldn't run in the comp, just give people a winch if they needed to get back on their wheels.

EDIT: Plus it would make one killer "follow the leader" run.

I can still make a halftrack, I just need to make sure that it will be allowed as a rescue rig.

Would be fun to see. I have a mental image of something with a boom literally lifting up a stuck rig.

I donno about that but the tank kit that I would use to convert into a halftrack is 22" long so it would have no problems getting and 11" wheelbase crawler onto a flatbed

That would be cool too

Has anyone made those "tread conversions" you can put on trucks and stuff for RC yet?
