Cool. Thanks for the help. Just picked up the dx4c so going to try the expo trick for throttle.

Yes, sensored is the only way to crawl with brushless. I forgot to mention sensored because I've never even considered an unsensored motor...and all of Holmes' brushless motors are sensored.

Yep, If I drag and drop it says text is to large. If I go to enter an image it asks for a url. All I have is a jpg.

For the Expo challenged can you briefly detail what this "trick" is. Thanks

Adding expo basically puts slack into your trigger pull. So you can pull more and not go as fast in the same distance. You can also program the esc with a throttle curve to help dial in a crawl pace.

The negative exponential will allow more throttle movement for smoother starts. The throttle curve would normally be linear but with negative expo, it starts with a gentle curve and then gets steeper as more throttle is applied. The curve would be opposite with positive expo and gentle acceleration would be more difficult, it would be like mashing the gas pedal! Hopefully this makes sense.

Looks great, I'm assuming it will be plastic?

Thanks! I use shapeways for my printing. So there several materials available. The one I'm receiving this week is done in polished plastic. It was inexpensive and will give me a good idea of how easy it will be to finish.

I wanted to get the Bomber slightly lower, so I did some shock swapping today! The 110mm King SC shocks went to the R1 Crawler, the R1's PL Powerstroke SC shocks went to the DMG Wraith and the Wraith's PL Pro-Spec shocks found a new home on the Bomber! Took some experimenting with lots of different spring rates and spring combinations to get the "feel" and stance I prefer.

Crap. Throttle is reversed on the new spectrum and normal on the esc. Guess I need to change it to reverse in castle link huh? I really can't tell a difference but I guess it messes with the sensor wire that way?

You should be fine just reversing throttle on the transmitter.

Awesome. Now...could I have your secret transmitter setup to try out? Expo , end points whatever you're testing. I have -75 setup on forward expo. Going to take it for test run tomorrow.

I may reach out to Holmes hobbies and see if I can exchange the motor for a Puller pro 2200. I think the 3300 is just too fast. I'm down to a 10t pinion and adding under drive gears to the rear. See how that works out. I really want a trailing crawler and this thing is like a speed demon. Idk. Have to see.

I think that pic of the side stance is "perfect"

Cheers,
