If I'm crawling and trailing, I get 1 hour 45 minutes to 2 hours. If I'm bashing non stop, full throttle constant runs, just playing around in a big open area, I get about 45 minutes to an hour. I hardly ever run my truck this way, I'm usually below 5mph and almost always below 10mph.

If you guys want a real kick in the pants, check out this 4s pack from SMC. It fits the Bomber easily, snug but not too tight. I run this pack with a Holmes 2200kv Puller Pro. It's a total blast and still has excellent low speed control. Careful though, you may like it too much. Remember the first time you tried 3s?

Nice! Please report back after you run it for the first time. What motor/ESC are you running?

Oh that's gonna be a great setup with these packs. Yes, SMC has great quality batteries at awesome prices and their customer service is great too.

Voltz 5300 MiMh, plenty of run time and fits neatly into the battery tray.

I'd guess somewhere around 30mph depending on gearing. My 2200kv with close to stock gearing ran right around 24-25mph on 4s

Been beating on mine for almost a year now with the same cheap hobby king packs. They have been great and have give me no issues.

Just got this from my lhs, which specializes in crawlers.
Looking forward to running it in my Bomber while trailing.
Still finishing my Bomber kit, but have determined that this fits nicely in the battery tray.

$42.99 with deans.

^^^Typical runtime? And your setup?

I ask because that's the company I want to go with... they make a bigger 5600mah 3S but I don't know if it will quite fit in a Bomber. If the 4300 is decent with a brushless 2700/3500kv setup I'll just go with that capacity.

I've never timed runtime, but it feels long (compared to 1/8 6s bashing). I'd guess ~1hr. I don't think any SMC 3s above 4300mah will fit, they are all bigger. I have the 5000mah, & it's too big. FYI the 5600mah is a softpack.

That looks similar to the 3s soft pack that I am running, I get about 1.5-1.75 hours of runtime. I sold off my spare of the same pack because I had never used it. I am going to try using the ~2200 mah 3s packs from my e-flite apprentice airplane and see what kind of time I can get. Those packs are much lighter which can't hurt. If I were starting over with both my Yeti and Bomber I would trade runtime for weight. When I first got back into the hobby last year I focused on runtime and purchased huge batteries for everything.

Whats the cable gauge on your battery? what is the original connector coming with this battery? Can you fit it in the tray with no problem?

I am planning to get this battery for my bomber but I have been stopped by its 10 AWG cables which I dislike a lot due to the nightmare on soldering of 8 AWG cables for a 5000mah battery. It stays the width of this battery is 42 mm but the tray only has 30mm ish space. Can you fit battery and all cables without problem?

Thanks

Haven't had a chance to solder on a deans connector yet. Fits very well.

Default Bomber Batteries

I use Peak Racing 4300mah 45c 3s Hard Case. It's a *very* tight fit, but I want a hard case due to the exposed middle section of the battery tray.
