If you pull more than the battery can supply, the battery will heat up.

I run a 550 21T motor on the hobbywing 1080 ESC with the venom 3s 3300mah 35C battery.

No heat on any parts with crawling and light bashing.

The truck is less than 10mph.

Well i was thinking about getting CC Mamba X + 1406 3800kv motor. My 5000mah 20c battery can deliver 100A continously and 150A for 10-20 seconds. Isn't that enough? How much amps will draw that motor with stock gearing? Talking about bashing "wisely"

Also i'm not sure if i should get the 1406 crawler series or the stronger 1410 series motor? The specs says 1406 - crawlers/trail runners up to 8lbs, buggies up to 5lbs. The 1410 on the other hand says 4WD SCT up to 6.5lbs, buggies up to 4lbs. The Bomber weighs around 6,5lbs.

Get a Mamba X and a puller pro standard from Holmes.
It's made for the bomber and you will never overpower that motor.

Thanks for the advice, but i'm going for CC combo from local hobby shop here in Slovakia (there's no HH reseller here). And what do you think about the batterries?

My 4000mah 3S Gens Ace fit perfectly in the box, and it's easy to tuck the wires down along the right hand side.

I have 2800mah Floureon batts too that have plenty of space.

I would go with the crawler series if i was forced to use a castle motor. It's plenty for trail and crawl.

If you want to bash the bomber hard, maybe step up to the Mamba Monster X and 1/8 scale motor?

Also check out RCmart for Holmes Hobbies stuff, they should ship internationally

I have the 1410 in my bomber and it's great. Not crazy fast on 2s but plenty torquey but not enough you are breaking stuff. On 3s its more than enough and 4s...is nuts.

This is all with stock gearing

I run a 1410 3800kv CC brushless with a 3S 5200 30C and it runs good. 19.6 mph in high gear with 16/64, "faster" 2-spd option, stock axle gears and 5.25" tires. Crawls pretty good too

I'll be running SMC 4S 3600mAh 60C packs with my Mamba X / HH Revolver 1800kv Outrunner...

Stock HD diff gears, stock 64t/12t spur & pinion.

Hopefully by this weekend it'll be done!

Well, just shy of 2 years gathering parts - yeah, that was pretty ridiculous...

But, in 9 days I've built up 2 sets of maxed-out axles, 2 transmissions / transfer cases /motor mounts / skidplates, 2 sets of upgraded driveshafts...

Now that I've finally "snapped" and begun building, it's moving at a pretty good clip!

I will be only continuing with one build for the time being - the other parts are going to have to wait.

Can you please estimate your top speed on 2s? Also which motor do you have? 3800kv?

Does the 30C battery get any hotter than it should (more than 60°C / 140°F)?

Ok so my 2s was near discharged cause I forgot to charge it but it was goin average 14mph so maybe 17 on full charge

On 3s it was goin 24mph!

I have never ran the bomber on any kind of pavement/concrete so that was different...she don't turn real good at speed at all! Haha and on 3s it would back flip when I snapped throttle from a start and pull the wheels up from a rolling pull!

The 1410 is plenty strong for anything you do with a bomber in my opinion
