Nothing sweeter than a brand new set of Curries. Like a good set of wheels and tires, I think it sets off the whole rig. Looks like you may have to trim down a set of Jato Rod ends for your tie rod. Also really like your wheel and tire combo. What CI foams and did you trim them?

I have a feeling you may be out of luck using a sway bar with an offset rear Currie axle.

Blast! That's not great news. Well, time for me to "innovate" I guess.

Man, this thing is getting juicy! Those wheels are slick, love the grey.

Subscribed, can't wait to see where this goes!

which sway bar are you interested in man?
HR makes a good one,
UCFab as well.
the VP ones are super scale looking, but waiting on stock...

It's not a matter of which sway bar is used, it's the mounting locations on the offset Currie axle that is causing him grief.

Thanks very much. Some very heavy duty changes are still in store. I'm really excited about this build.

Bilinvic is right Mike, it's not about which one, it's about placement - but I think I've got a solution figured out. Stand by on that one, hopefully I'll sort it out tonight.

mount the sway bar on the rear holes of the chassis. (need to be drilled a little bigger) and mount the sway bar link onto the trailing arm.

Example I found on bookface.

Well, I had to start by tearing down and taking inventory of the parts Axial's sent my way. I honestly think that by the end of it, I'll have nearly enough parts to have two Bombers. Much thanks to Axial for providing me with all the nice bronze and grey hop-ups. XR10 aluminum steering bits, Wraith aluminum upper and lowers, Yeti rear upper and lower aluminum braces, 38T Bevel gears, RR10 Transmission Motor plate, and CVD's. Pretty much all the important stuff.

Once all the bits were installed, I marvelled that I didn't break anything.

I set about making my own steering link for these axles, as the plastic one just wouldn't do.

That servo will be replaced, but not until it gives up the ghost. It's a perfectly fine servo for bashing about, and waiting for aluminum cages to be constructed and shipped. You'll notice from my RPP & Vanquish screenshots, that there's a couple of Wraith-width Currie tubes on the way. I've got a set of XR10 width versions here and figured I should go big and not go home.
Try this servo when it does need to be replaced.

That'll work too, thanks for posting that! It takes away the option for double shocks though...

Yeah a trade off. The F9s vp is releasing has sway bar mounts.

That might be a longer term solution.

Very nice. Is this a bomber chassis? How is the weight compared to a stock cage?

maybe post in the dedicated chassis thread instead of cluttering up this build thread with your bullshit?

Take them back under your rock. Please. No one cares that your summit trans is stronger than a 5.0 mustang.

Back to the thread. Damn those cages look nice. Needs a few scratches though
