What is considered "better"? Aluminum or lexan? Aluminum body you buy once, but you can paint the lexan and it doesn't scratch. The winner is....??????

Well, you can certainly paint the aluminum as well, I have self-etching primer that I will be trying out on my panels. I like the fact that they can be dented and scratched up, like a real vehicle - scratches on lexan don't usually look very realistic, even when painted on the outside. Lexan annoys the crap outta me - but it's a necessary evil for most builds in the RC world. |
