Im in shingle springs, so far its doing just fine. im geared 68/15 so the speed is down from the xl speed, with the 2 speed it crawls real good, high speed it gets up and goes. lots of fun. so far have not twisted or broke anything. h.d. r/p on the way....

Running a Tekin Pro4HD 3000kv and the Tekin RX8 Gen2 with stock gearing(12/64) on 2S 5000mah Lipos. Smooth as butter.

I just pulled the trigger on a HH trailmaster pro BL 3300 motor/esc combo. I cannot wait. I'm wondering if I'll need to adjust the gearing or not.

I liked it but dropping the pinion to a 12t helped with crawling. IMO good motor if running 2 speed or bashing.

I am running a Castle Mamba Max Pro with a Holmes Hobbies Puller Pro 2200kv standard size motor. I'm still using the stock gearing. When crawling, it's very smooth and not much different than the Bomber's stock drivetrain. On 3s power, it has more than enough wheel speed. It jumps and is fun to bash around. 4s power is just silly fun. If you want more, get a short course truck.

I was contemplating on dropping the pinion down to a 11t from a 12t to help with motor temps when running on 3s with my 35t brushed motor. Would that size pinion really make that much of a difference?

My buddy is running the titan 21t on 3s, stock gearing and its got power, faster and motor temps are good. That motor is 15-20 bucks.

The crawler has an MMP and a Holmes 2200kv puller pro standard on 3s and stock gearing.
The bouncer has a Mamba Monster X with a Holmes 3500kv 540XL on 3s mounted to a SS Wraith trans with 56/12 gearing

The guys looking to race have been giving great feedback with the Puller Pro 540 3500 and 4500kv on 3s. The 3500 is more suitable for everyday trail running but easily holds up in a race. The 4500 is bashing and racing, for those folks that want speeeeeed.

The mamba monster X seems to be getting popular for u4 racing as well. Big power, switch on the fly drag brake.

Talking Re: What's Powering your Bomber

I just ordered a puller pro 3500 and a trail master BLE pro, off of you website on Saturday. I'll admit that after I read the recommendation for the 3500, then seen you offer it in standard, and XL, I got a lil confused (...I wasn't sure which one). You know how that ended.

I tried to E-mail Monday morning to see if I could add the mamba X to my order, but it had already shipped

I guess I wasn't sure if I got enough ESC the first time I placed the order.

If your not planning to go past 20mph or hill climb 30 minutes straight you're probably fine, my stock geared wraith has never had issue. Just watch the heat till you know how your driving and terrain loads the system.

I'm starting to think that I should swap the MMP for the MMX
