As long as you don't open the packaging and pay the shipping I would think they would exchange it for you.

I'll open the box it all comes in, but not the individual product box if it's labeled 2200kv, that's for sure.

My RR10 Bomber kit has arrived along with the new Futaba 3PV (curious about that one, read some neat stuff about it, only $109.99).

Tomorrow is when the Holmes Hobby order is to arrive, Sunday the Dynamite C300 Passport Ultra 100W charger so I can freakin' charge off AC at 1C+, and Monday the 2 SMC 3S 4300Mah LiPos get here..

I rant about the charger because it seems that every charger below $100 seems to not be able to charge at a decent rate. They make claims that they can, but not if you do 3S or high-capacity LiPos, or at least off AC power.

There are a couple that will pull it off (80W advertised) but the fine print is that is on DC only, they are wimpy on AC. I'm aware that Dynamite isn't a top-tier charger name, but - hey, comes with a 5yr warranty!

So, yeah - I am hoping that somehow (a miracle, maybe) the 2700kv is in that box tomorrow!

Unfortunately, I got the 2200kv PP 540 standard in my Holmes order.

Emailed their support asking for instructions on exchanging it for the 2700kv.

The SHV500 is gorgeous, but the wiring wasn't done into the battery leads - looks like that request didn't end up in my order either.

Frustrating, their site had a link for returns but once it asked me to login my account that link is gone?

So all I can do is wait on a reply to my email.

I didn't get any replies when I asked for my order to be fixed the second it showed the wrong motor - so I don't know what's going on.

Left a phone message as well - I just can't believe I went from trying to get a 3500kv to ending up with a 2200kv.

The 2700kv would be a more than acceptable compromise - I just need to get it done!

Nice ^^^

Update - HH is of course being very cool and allowing the motor swap. I'm getting a HH 2700kv PP 540 soon.

I'll probably get slammed for this, but the bomber I'm building is a pure crawler, so for a baseline I'm starting with a brushed 55t and a Tekin FX-R.

that is great to hear! I've always heard they have great service. I originally wanted the PP 3500 but I was to impatient to wait so I bought the Tekin 3100. I would still like to try a PP 3500 in another build.

Running a 4000kv Hobbystar sensored 4 pole motor (36mmx53mm) paired to a Hobbywing SCT Pro
Gearing 11T - 64T 32p
Stock trans / diff ratio
Open front diff (1 000 000cts)

It got some driveshaft twinting torque at low RPM, and some serious wheelspin. My rig is more track / trail oriented than pure crawling.

Have a Bomber kit on the way. Couple motors sitting here and wondering which would fit best?

Tekin 21.5t gen2
Tekin 17.5t gen1
Neu 1509/1.5D, 4500kv powerhouse
Traxxas/Castle 1415 2400kv

I run a Mamba monster x and Holmes hobbies 3500 puller pro.
I have the 2 speed so it's nice with the monster x to be able to turn drag brake on for crawling in low speed and off for high speed runs.

Wish I had that feature on my sidewinder 8th

Yes, I run a MMP and a 3100kv Tekin ROC 412 and the crawliblity with it really is like a brushed 35Turn. Then it has the speed of a fast brushless motor like you would expect, gobs of power everywhere which is perfect for somebody looking for the best of all worlds and I definately recomend this combo! I also run a MMX and brushless 540 3500kv HH Puller Pro. The ROC 412 system seems to have more finesse at crawling but the Puller Pro setup has nutty speed and still crawlable when geared right. Can't go wrong with either combo though

I have the Castle MMX and the Tekin ROC412 3100kV on stock gearing. I mostly run it on 2S, but also on 3S when I want speed.

Something is defective though because I'm having a ton of cogging. I'm in talks with Castle because I think I ruled out the Tekin motor by testing another brushless motor. To be continued...

I had issues with a motor cogging and it turns out that I had cheat timing turned on in my MMP and it went smooth after I turned that off. Just a thought

Thank you. I tried changing startup power punch and timing to no avail. What are your settings?

Castle did say I shouldn't have to change any software setting to get rid of cogging though.

If you want, just reset to default setup and if that fixes it then tweak from there. CHEAT is not a default setup and this should get you really close..

No, default doesn't fix the cogging. What's "CHEAT"?
