That's true actually...stupid physics anyway.

Installed HR sway bars with custom links since rock jocks were never designed for them.

Swapped springs with some that just came in from rpp.

Changed the foams in the front tires so it doesn't traction roll so damned bad.

Then broke the output on the AX2 trans. Already swapped it with an SSD high ratio wraith trans so it's back in action.

Tried my best to break something in the forest / trails but only came out with scratches and a very happy 3 year old

First trip out with the 'Galaxy' bomber which I've subsequently decided I don't like the colour of!!!
This climbs like a beast even with Ripsaws (CI foams ofc) and outclimbed the hyrax on the loose stuff, really pleased with that
Motor got hot so need to gear down a tooth and look into a decent motor mount for heat dispersion given I'm still on stock plastics, which with a 3800kv Castle isnt the greatest idea.
Installed SSD top links and now will be changing out the tiny thread rods so they don't come out again! Lame design if you ask me.
Ordered 4mm FLAT set screws to replace stock Vanquish pointy set screws in the sway bar...

I like those wheels. I've been tempted to pick up a set of assassins or rock racers. What hubs do you have?

Get the PL stipulated wheels if you're putting Proline on.. not sure if they do those in the racers.
Those are the stock hubs that come with the wheels. Plenty strong enough, have them on my Wraith

If they're slw compatible I think I'll pick them up.

Although I've been lurking for some time, this is my first post.

I've been building my Bomber kit as I get time, and will be all stock initially. I will run it and replace what breaks as needed with higher grade parts. I will be using the CC MMX ESC, but still haven't decided on the motor. Been looking at Castle and Holmes.

I will probably bash it about 60% of the time, and the other 40% will be crawling, and trailing. And I plan to run it on 3S.

This is what I have so far....

I don't like the rear upper links that come with it. They are a little on the short side and it points the rear pinion down.. I ended up using my incision yeti rear upper links. They are a tad bit longer

Would this combo allow me to Bash, RR, Trail, and Crawl?

MONSTER X 25.2V ESC, 8A PEAK BEC W / 1512-2650KV SENSORED MOTOR

Run one on my Slash 4x4 w/2.8's and 18/54. Runs VERY well. But being the Bomber has different geometry, this combo may not be the best for it. Will be using 3S.

What KV is considered the "all around" favorite now for what I listed?

@wcdfmt510 - Thank you for the suggestion on the links.

Nitrobugg,
For the bomber, 1/10 size electronics is enough.
If you want top dollar best of the best, Mamba X with a Holmes hobbies puller pro 3500kv.

Reason I had an 8th scale motor was get rid of the heat issues. And the same reason I went with the MMX instead of the MX.

The only 3500kv I see is the PP XL. Will this also run well in an SMT-10?

There won't be any heat issues with a puller pro but you want the standard. The xl doesn't have the smooth start-up for crawling.
