Its leg day for "Mis'-Taken" installing beef tubes for ar60's, brass front and rear, VP front VXL axle shafts, locked-up rc rear axle shafts, also got VP stage 1 in the mail.

Having the same issue some have had with the stock slipper and the Incision motor mount. Mine is binding once I start tightening the slipper nut. Took my dremel and removed a "little" of the plastic where it was rubbing, but still rubs. Didn't want to take off too much and ruin it. So, I went ahead and ordered the Robinson Gen 3 64T Slipper and hope that will fix this issue.

Also...someone mentioned using YETI rear upper links to raise the pinion angle to horizontal? Just wanted to verify before I order a set. And as long as I'm replacing them, should I go stock, or another version like the VP's, or something similar?

Thought the Bomber and Yeti had identical rear ends?

Painted up and installed the Axial EXO radiator, AX80103. I’ve had the radiator for a while ... happy with how it turned out.

I used the installation method described here; works fine with the un-modified Bomber interior if you use longer screws for the radiator mount (as I did). I also used servo tape at the top to fix the radiator to the light bar.
Super simple radiator mount

Installed the Death Metal Garage rear tire mount. It fits great and does a nice job of tucking in the tire.

Here’s before (with the stock tire mount); pardon the messy work bench, I need to clean up, Lol!

And here’s with the DMG mount

I believe the Yeti links are 124MM. Not sure about the Bomber without taking one off. May do that later this week and see. Anyone know?

Yep, the spare is a painted stock wheel. The other ones are Hutchinson beadlocks from The Scale Shop, along with their Lockerz scale hubs

They’re well made, hold the bead very well, and are a great value - definite favorite for me and I highly recommend them. I put a longer description here:

Installed Robinson Racing 64T slipper and hardened 12T pinion...stock one was rubbing back plate using the Incision motor mount, Holmes Hobbies Puller Pro std 3500kv installed (back in stock), receiver installed, and will solder a plug on the Mamba X and get it mounted and wired up tomorrow.

Also have body panels, interior, fuel cell, and and a few odds and ends to paint.

Getting close!

Had a quick question though...

What do you do with your antenna wire? I have the R304SB receiver and was told not to coil up the antenna inside the receiver box, but some say that's ok? Thinking of getting some antenna tubing and run it along the inside of the chassis opposite the motor. Don't want to spend the extra $$ and get the R304SB-E receiver.

I just taped the antenna to the other wires and pointed it away from the motor and ESC.

Nothing fancy, electrical tape, and i get zero issues.

The wiring is a bit of a mess but you see the antenna top left.

Thank you sir. I have all the electronics mounted now, and receiver added to the 4PV, and bench tested it. Everything runs good so far. Once I get the cage mounted, I will need to set up a button for the drag brake, and set the end points. Once I run it some, I can make a few tweeks as needed but she is almost ready for a maiden run.

Fixed my driveline so I can run this w/e and weighed my rig. Fat Betty tips the scales at 11.2 lbs ready to run with the 3s battery. I guess she won't be seeing any major air time. :^(

Finally got it together tonight. Now all it needs is a good paint job on the panels. Have an idea of what I want, but not sure if I'm a good enough painter to pull it off. Will hook up the castle link this week sometime, and see if I can set the drag brake. (thought i saw a link somewhere on how to do it)

I have decided to swap in Tamiya’s rally car drivers for a different look. The cockpit is not as deep as Axial’s, but it comes with separate steering wheel.

Got my new SMC 3S 7200mah 90C batteries in today. (for my Slash actually) Tried them in my Bomber, but they are WAY too wide. They might fit my SMT10 though, but haven't tried them yet.

However, the Venom 3S 5000mah 35C batteries I have fit great! So, I'll be using those I guess.

***EDIT

If I had known, I should have ordered the 7400mah 90C, and they might have fit everything I have.

7200 = 160MM
7400 = 139mm
