I now have pseudo-aux wire functionality on my brushed Bomber using my DX5C's mixing. I'm using the 2-speed shift servo on Aux 1 as Master and throttle trim as Slave and I have my AE-5 set with 100% drag brake. If I'm in low gear, I have all the drag brake I need and if I'm in high gear, my throttle trim bumps up so it "coasts" to a stop without endoing after letting off the throttle. I also took the reverse travel down to 60% to calm the reverse a little.

installed an axial alloy servo horn today, was using a plastic horn thinking it would be the weak link that may save my servo should i have a big crash.

Hope this isn't a mistake lol.

I’ve had that aluminum servo horn on mine for a couple years, no issues.

On my last couple of crawls, I realized I was running with three-wheel drive, as my left front wheel would spin freely. While this made for some interesting challenges (approach every uphill line from the left!), I was happy to finally have the time to get the axle apart, at which point I found:

Oh, so that’s why people buy after-market lockers.

Got a new locker in this week from Locked Up RC (they’re out of stock on the heavyweight, unfortunately, though that looks to be fun to try in the front diff), installed it this morning before work, and should be good to go for a crawl tomorrow. And with no slop in the axle rotation for the first time since I built it.

Pulled the trigger today on the axial alloy motor mount and a titan 21t 550....

Was gonna order the hobbywing 1080 but my ae-5 on 2s seems to be doing just fine for now.

Pretty sad when I can order from amain hobbies and pay the conversion from Canadian to US $ and still be cheaper than my LHS....... not sure why they jack the prices up on everything?

Baby got a new pair of shoes today, hyrax on chrome rocksters with 4oz of weight in each.

Didnt do it today but a few weeks ago I wanted to make my own body panels for cheap so I made some templates off the original panels and bought a nice enamel coated cookie sheet from the dollar store ($2)

Now I have some sweet looking metal panels that should take a beating and keep looking good while doing it.

Good job on those panels, look great.
Think your sway bar is on back to front though. No idea if there's a performance impact on that...?

Good eye and yes there is a performance aspect to this set up, by moving the links from the axle to the trailing arms it increases the leverage on the sway bar making it less invasive or softer as it were.

Been pouring over old posts for a few weeks now and saw a photo and description of how to mount it this way using the stock parts.

Always looking for free modifications.

Finally mounted my Hyraxs on my plastic Methods. They've been sitting in a box for almost 2 years! What a difference!

Found some old fuel line from my nitro and used a couple shock valves with a screw to make a filler.

Added a buggy whip to.

Yes it has secondary nuts. Will be doing some testing with this coilover setup.

My new Chinese Vanquish 35mm wide wheels mounted easily, and work great with the Hyrax tires and CI DD 5.5" foams.

Had a question about the wheel hubs. Not sure what size the ones the wheel came with (guess I could measure them), but they ARE replaceable. The wheel clears everything ok and is not an issue....and wondered what size hubs does everyone use\recommend? Would I be wasting my time going to a 375, 450, 600, etc...? I know it would widen the stance some if I went larger. Is it needed, or just a personal thing?
