thank you! Presumably there is an adaptor so those rims will fit to the hex type spigot hubs on the Axial axles? I've had a look on the web but perhaps I'm not searching for the correct thing... IM | |

My bomber with the stock power and UD gearing in both axles was painfully slow. In the search for some more top speed without spending sensored brushless money: I swapped out the stock 35T brushless motor for the Traxxas 21T Titan 550 motor (gained a couple mph while still able to crawl). I stayed with the factory 12T pinion. I then disassembled my trans and swapped in the optional higher upper gear set on my Axial 2 speed setup (equivalent to going to a 14T pinion in high gear without changing low gear, picked up another 3-4 mph). Those changes combined got me where the bomber has enough wheel speed to do donuts in it's own length on tile while still having good control crawling very slow. The larger spread on the gearing in the 2 speed trans is very welcome. Speed numbers are a guess as my phone with a speedo app was unreliable. I may do a budget sensored brushless setup down the road, but this works for now. Unfortunately I broke a gear in my JR DS8911 servo the last outing. Replacement gears are $56, so I put the money towards a Hitec 7950 instead. I strongly considered a 7954 ($7 or the Savox 1230 ($69), but after lots of reading I decided the cost difference and potential frustration wasn't worth a few bucks. The 7950 was $125 shipped with a code from Tower. I already have a BEC to go in with the new servo. Somehow I also cracked my rear Dlux AR60 housing and bent the short axle. Fortunately I had spare parts for both. I only put beef tubes in the front axle, so now I need to order a set for the rear and a set of the aluminum beef tubes for my Yeti. I am still waiting for the wider fanquish wheels to come out, my plan is for a set of those and likely RBII tires. Last edited by BroncoAZ; 03-25-2016 at 10:26 AM. |

Installed some new rear uppers links FastEddy's bearings Lubed the gears Adjusted the rear sway bar a bit to stop the mounting bars from flipping 17t pinion Applied more glue to the tires Best of all...went RCing with my son and drove the hell out of it. Only one pack before we had to go eat Easter dinner with the folks. |

Fired up the Bomber for it's first drive since stripping off seemingly all the stock components and rebuilding it. I'm heading out of town later today so the trucks had to be packed up last night and it needed a test run. So with a half charged battery in the dark, outside the Bomber went. From that short drive, I already know this is going to be my new favorite truck. Holmes 3500kv Puller Pro on 3S running through a SSD 2 speed can put a smile on anybody's face. Just need to track down softer front springs for the Traxxas GTR shocks I'm running and get picture (many pictures). |

3m dual lock or duralock. Whatever it is. I use it for a lot of things. The adhesive is probably the stickiest I've came across for anything Velcro like

had a small package arrive from Asiatees with my boom racing link upgrades & steering linkages, c-hubs & knuckles, also had my hot racing sway bar arrive, had a small session getting it all fitted to discover that the sway bar doesnt quite clear the rear of the chassis & ive ended up with 1/2 a link kit extra |

Pulled the HolmesHobbies puller pro XL 3500 kv, and installed a HolmesHobbies puller pro standard 3500kv. I got bored.....so I thought I'd start looking into where I'd like to put these motors before I head to the mountains at the end of April. One of these will end up in my bomber, and the other in my wraith...even though I'm such a big fan of my HolmesHobbies 2000kv outrunner, too bad I only have the one out-runner, I'd've liked to have both the bomber, and the wraith sporting outrunners.
