I didn't start my Bomber kit build today, but I got a burst of motivation from a friend...

OOOOhhh That is a nice RAM 1500 even if it is dirty as all heck....

That would be my "used" RR10 RTR. IT arrived with a very smoked ESC. Thank you Durok for helping to replace the ESC, and Servo, as well as Receiver and motor to get the electronic side back up and running.

Thank you also for the spare Lockouts and C-hubs! I think once I put some oil in the empty shocks I will enjoy this truck a lot! It is the complete oppositon the TRX4 Bronco in SOOOO many ways.

You've now got a "Dynamite" Bomber...

(all electronics are now Dynamite brand from an Ascender K10, hence the horrible pun - please forgive me!)

Kinda funny how Axial puts a servo with a lower torque rating in the 2.2"-tired Bomber than the one that comes with the Vaterra - with it's 1.9" tires.

Both ESCs are rated 360A peak, max 12t 550-can, but the BEC for Axial is 5V/2A, Dynamite is 6V/3A...yet the Dynamite ESC is physically considerably smaller and lighter.

I added light pods to the front from AX80045 when I get the rear panel done I plan on adding some of the oval recessed light pods in it.

After destroying 3 PowerHD 20kg servo's and 5 servo horns in 4 months I pulled it apart to install new Vanquish links and servo horn, Savöx servo and a 6v 8A BEC.

I always say: If you don't break anything, you're not driving hard enough.

Hehe, true, but unable to complete a full day of driving every single time I take the Bomber out is a bit annoying

That's what I have, it sure can take a beating. I've bent both VVD stub shafts, and broken a tie rod link, servo still perfect.

Added Xtra Speed axle housing(fathers day gift) to the front to match rear. Thinking that beef tubes might fit in these to add more weight and strength. One Idea I did had was the screws in the little grub screws in from thru the housing so there is no chance of dirt filling the Allen part, now only if u had thought of that when I did the rear.

Started building it (yay)...

I won't do a build thread, it's been done and done on this kit, but I felt I needed to give durok some more motivation ;)

Well today I did some speed runs on my bombers one brushed one brushless. And successfully broke a brush off a traxxas 21t titan motor. The brushless broke a bunch of those cheap axial rod ends.

432g of motor & tranny:

I have to admit I'm a little...respectfully apprehensive, this being my first brushless motor. Unfounded, I know...just the first time I had to go to the automotive box to get tools large enough to assemble an RC kit ;)

Bomber is definitely on a different scale than Orlandoo...and a lot easier to build!

Got receiver bound, ESC installed and everything calibrated, programmed and running. Sounds like ice in a blender...nature of brushless...?

Definitely found a couple of parts I'll likely replace in the future...like all of the black plastic parts. Still not impressed with Axial plastic and was constantly afraid of stripping fasteners.

Thank you for urging @Durok along! I tried buying are RTR and let him drive it some, just to get him moving on his pile-o-parts! It worked slightly but more pushing is needed!

Sorry Durok!

I think he's afraid he'll have to actually clean his living room once he finds it again.

Ah, jeeperz...

Youz Guyz...

Hey, Miatardo - I was realizing the other day that I never let you drive my tiny-tired (compared to your TRX-4 Bronco and Bomber, at least) Ascender when we were out crawlin' together!

I kinda feel selfish now...

It's loads of fun to drive - I prefer it on the 4.19" Wrangler MT/Rs to when I had the stock wheels & tires - and the other mods help, of course.

But - a big part of me is crying out for MOAR POWER and MOAR TIRE!!!
