WB = 13.5 inches

I wanted a B2B because I "needed" to have a F&R independent suspension rig in my collection....and I'm sure glad I did, the suspension is very plush and there's zero torque twist. Mine is tuned to rock climb and bounce, it's not a "go fast rock racer". It's performance is outstanding out on the rocks and it's not very likely you will run into anyone else with the same rig! Yes, definitely worth it and I highly recommend a B2B. Get a Twin Hammers if you want a rear trailing arm/IFS rig.

LOL, no thanks on the TH. I have a rock rey, and my B1B. Which is why I'm tempted to upgrade the B1B to B2B.

Thanks for the answers, btw. Is there a reason you got the full B2B kit over B2B upgrade kit?

I wouldn't turn your nose to a TH....it's by far the most capable rock crawler/bouncer I have built. I wanted to have the spare B1B parts in case I wanted to have another one...but that is not likely going to ever happen.

Wait till you try a RR, lol.

Ok that makes sense, because I was thinking the same thing! LOL. But 3 bombers is probably a bit much.

Again, thanks.

I finally got a chance to take my B2B out for a session up Mount Doug with a few other crawlers. This is the first time out since I changed the rear diff from locked to semi-locked with the Racer's Edge diff putty and using the hex patties from Beef Tubes. I can say with certainty that nothing else needs to be done on this rig now, it's perfect. I started off gentle to see how the rear shafts would hold out and by the end of the day, I was running the B2B pretty hard; crawling, bouncing and purposely getting in some bind situations. The semi-locked front and rear diffs reacted exactly how they were supposed to, allowing just enough slip so that axles would not bend and/or break. In extreme crawling, there is zero slippage with the diff putty, this stuff is the shit!!!

I'm extremely happy with this rig, it's so much fun to run and is VERY capable on the rocks. Everyone enjoys watching each corner move independently, it's just too kool!

Thanxs Jerry @ the DMG, I love this rig and I'm glad I'm one of the chosen few who built one!

Looking good as always. I bit the bullet and started my B2B build.

Next time your in the market for brass brake rotors, check out bottoms up rc spinning rotors. They are legit, such an awesome idea.

I like the 4 wheels Independence suspension so much. Should be very stable in high speed. Do you have any video?

When your B2B is built and dialed in, you won't regret it, it really is a spectacular rig to run.

That is a good idea, but with all the options for brass knuckles these days, that's the way to go for me. Brass hubs / rotors is extra weight that is hanging off of the stub axles. I don't want to sound like a hypocrite though...My 10.2 truck uses both brass knuckles and hub weights....but, it's not built to be a bouncer!

Sorry, no video. The suspension soaks up the trail at speed, it's WAY more stable than a solid axle rig.

Yes, knuckle weights over rotor hubs for sure but for rigs like a yeti/B1B/B2B, its the only option. But the big difference is these spin on there own, so its less of a shock taking off and slowing down, and of course less part breakage.

The only issue with using these on a B1B / B2B is that a wider hub must be used, i.e., .475 and maybe even a .600 SLW). I use VP .225 SLW hubs to keep the track width on my B2B as minimal as possible and it's still 12.5" wide.

Looks great Bil! Love the photos.

My son in 7th grade just did a science project seeing which Bomber setup (Solid, IFS, IFRS) performed best in rock, dirt track and sand. I didn't look at the results in detail, but I was shocked when he told me the overall performer was the Solid and B1B. He said all was really close. I'll have to take a closer look at his project data sheet post details when I find the time.

The B2B received a heart transplant...out with the MMP, in with the Mamba X. After driving my Wroncho Bug with the Mamba X and having the ability to switch between three modes of rock racer /drag brake on the fly was extremely useful and fun. I figured my B2B could use this feature too. I never utilized the ESC's BEC though, I'm using the SHV HH servo which draws its power straight from the 3S battery.

Very soon, my B2B is going to be sporting a whole new look....

My B2B Bomber's new look. A good friend of mine designed and printed this vinyl wrap for me.

I enjoyed reading your thread. "Cool truck, man "

Can the 2 speed Bomber/Yeti trans be used with DMGs B2B kit?

Thanxs. I'm not sure if that trans would work or not, I'm inclined to think the answer is no.

It was a beautiful sunny day out with some good buddies and my B2B. I drove 'er pretty hard today and not one bent axle....I'm stoked that this fully independent suspension rig is dialed in!

The new graphics are definitely broken in now!

At first I was breaking front axles and bending rear axles regularly....Between having the drive-line tuned properly and the Racer's Edge diff putty, it appears that bent axle problem is no more, (knocking on wood)!
